If the first game is any indication, Injustice 2 should be a lot of fun-despite its overly grim and gritty setting (or because of it, depending on your tastes), Injustice: Gods Among Us isn't just one of the best Batman games ever made, it's one of the best DC Comics games out there, period. Download and play as Sub-Zero, who fights using a deadly combination of ice powers and martial arts. Injustice 2 comes out on on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and as dedicated Looper readers know, chronicles the continued conflict between an evil Superman, a terrorist Batman, and an invading alien force led by the Man of Steel's nemesis, Brainiac. The next character that we'll be getting on the downloadable roster for Injustice 2 is Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero, and he'll be making his debut in July. Sub-Zero is basically a ninja who also has ice-related powers, and should fit in just fine in Injustice 2's superhero-filled world.

Sub-Zero, meanwhile, is one of the stars of Mortal Kombat, the other big fighting game franchise currently developed by NetherRealm Studios, and serves as the series' de facto mascot (in fact, Sub-Zero is the only character who has appeared in every Mortal Kombat game since the series launched in 1992). Anyone who has played Mortal Kombat X should find Sub-Zero easy to play in Injustice 2. Following the events of the Infinite Crisis crossover event, Todd returned to life and took on the mantle of the Red Hood, a hardline vigilante who rids the streets of crime using whatever means necessary. The Red Hood is actually Jason Todd, the second Robin, who died at the hands of the Joker in the late-'80s A Death in the Family storyline. At one point, she almost married Nightwing, the adult version of the first Robin, and she's played a starring role in both the Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! animated series. An exiled princess from the planet Tamaran, Starfire has been a DC Comics mainstay ever since. Starfire first debuted in DC Comics Presents #26 in 1980, and shortly after became a member of the New Teen Titans, which was written and illustrated by her creators, Marv Wolfman and George Perez. Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition costs $99.99.

The Lin-Kuei Grandmaster will fight for you with the Injustice 2: Sub-Zero DLC. The original Injustice: Gods Among Us featured six DLC fighters - Batgirl, Lobo, Martian Manhunter, Scorpion, Zatanna and Zod - as part of its character season pass. While they’re not clearly outed in the Injustice 2 DLC trailer above, tweaking the video’s final frame a bit reveals what appear to be Aquaman’s longtime nemesis Black Manta and Mortal Kombat’s Raiden. I dont get it, did they run out of dc heroes/villains Like, what does mortal Kombat have to do with this universe I mean I like sub zero but it doesnt make.
